Olowalu is known as Maui’s Mother Reef, boasting an impressive 1,000+ acres of tropical reef, and containing corals over 1500 years old! Snorkeling Olowalu truly offers our guests some of the best visibility right off the coast of Maui’s West Side. **
Also locally referred to as Turtle Reef, Olowalu is home to a manta ray and honu (Hawaiian Sea Turtle) “cleaning station”, which provides our guests the unique opportunity to watch as friendly tropical fish clean algae from the shells & backs of these majestic creatures. Surely a memory in the making!
A hidden gem best accessed by boat–“Cliff House” refers to a bay along Kapalua where a small house perches on a cliff. This location has amazing visibility, corals, and reef fish to keep you mesmerized during your entire snorkel.
Lana’i boasts some of the most famous snorkel and dive locations in the State. On stellar days we will explore one of these epic snorkel sites: Kaunolu, Manele, Fish Rock, Cathedrals, or Kahalepalaoa (Club Lana’i)
**The Captain will choose the best snorkeling destination for that day– Olowalu is usually our first choice **
